FOREMAN - Drill Maintenance
(Patterson C4)

Department

The Mining Department is responsible for the safe, efficient and effective maintenance of all Production and Support machinery and equipment. Our vision is to achieve a planned performance level on all maintenance and engineering activities within the area of responsibility as established in our principles of operation.

Purpose

To provide maintenance plans and services for all Drilling equipment used in the open pit environment for the production of uranium within the parameters of cost, mining plan and RUL safety standards. These include GD120, Pit Viper 351, Driltech DK45, Pantera and Halco drills.

  • Maintenance and Planning

To be successful you are required to have:

  • Trade Test Diploma (Fitter & Turner)
  • N3 (three subjects including trade theory) or equivalent
  • Five (5) years experience in a maintenance and repair of heavy mining equipment,
    preferably in maintaining drills, of which two (2) years should have been in a supervisory
    capacity.
  • Code BE drivers license (code 11 preferred)

  • Analysing: Be able to analyse data of a verbal and numerical nature and other sources of information, breaking information down into components, probing for further information and generating workable solutions to problems.
